The cornerstone and topping-out ceremony for a new Inter Cars branch took place in Tartu, Estonia, on 3 December 2025. Anti Soosaar’s photographs show the building under construction, the people present and details of both traditions.

ABOUT THE SERIES

A cornerstone capsule, masonry trowels and a topping-out wreath came together at Rand & Tuulberg’s construction site. The series begins with a row of helmets and safety vests, then moves through the capsule and a group photograph to the roof.

The photographs show the wreath on the roof and in a lift basket, participants recording the occasion on their phones, and a gathering around tables inside the building. Work equipment, high-visibility clothing and unfinished rooms preserve the setting of the construction site at that moment.
